When we sat down we were told by the waiter that they were out of “a lot of things.” That started as “house salads” and manicotti. We went to Old Chicago following a baseball game. I will not spend another penny in this place. Perhaps the home office of Old Chicago can schedule a day in Joplin to train their pizza makers on how to make a Chicago Style Pizza. Especially when your paying $20 for a pizza. It’s no different than grocery store pizza. If a pizza it too doughy there’s no point in eating it. To me good pizza is the right blend & ratio of crust, sauce and toppings. I sit down place a slice on my plate & take a bite. I knew he wasn’t telling me the truth but I was hungry and it’s getting late. He opened the box and started pointing at the pizza to prove to me that there was extra sauce. It was the Manager who brought out the new pizza. I returned the pizza and the manager(who was nice) responded by offering to make it again this time with extra sauce. I took on bite and I could instantly tell there wasn’t extra sauce. I requested extra sauce on my thick crust deep dish pizza. My understanding is that is their deep dish crust. This time ordered a Medium Italian grinder w/ the OC crust. My company has me staying at the hotel that’s attached to this restaurant So, for convenience sake I jus walked. I had previously tried this place and wasn’t completely pleased w/ my order which was a personal pizza. Japanese Restaurants for Lunch in Joplin.Japanese Restaurants for Families in Joplin.
